Come, Holy Spirit. Move in power.
Here is "An Invocation of the Holy Spirit," taken from Celtic Daily Prayer, p. 284.
Most powerful Holy Spirit,
come down
upon us
and subdue us.
From heaven,
where the ordinary
is made glorious,
and glory
seems
but ordinary,
bathe us
with the brilliance
of your
light
like dew.
Please pray this with me today. We need Him so much.
Come, Holy Spirit. Move in power.

Does the whole family celebrate the holy days? If so, what do y'all do?
No, we don't, but I would like to begin celebrating a few: Epiphany, St. Patrick's, Holy Week & Pentecost, in addition to Christmas, Easter, and Advent. Honestly, I'd love to celebrate those 3 in a more Christian way and just have some sort of regular family devotion.
I'm in. My kids don't need 10,000 presents anyway.
Just FYI, World Vision (www.worldvision.org) has a section on their site where you can give a gift to a needy person instead of just piling another gift on someone who doesn't really need anything. You can help the needy and honor a loved one at the same time: win/win! Just click on their "Gift Catalog" link.
